The ultimate tragedy is not the oppression and cruelty by the bad people but the silence over that by the good people. (Martin Luther King, Jr.)It is another day of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day in the States today. Still, we are in the chaos of violence, sadly and unfortunately. Yes it is such a tragedy that many cruel things still happening all over the world, among children, adults, elders, male, female, animals, our society, Mother Earth. We have to realize, however, that there is another fact as the big tragedy as Mr. King says, "The ultimate tragedy is the silence over that by the good people."I always tell my children, friends and clients that if we are there, see things and just don't try to do anything to help, then we are guilty too. You are there, take video and post on SNS? Laugh with friends and strangers about what you saw even if you could have helped, stopped? You stare at your cellphone as if you could not hear anything see anything? Someone or your friend is hurt emotionally, physically or both, still, you are not going to do anything, are not going to say any words to comfort her/him? It does not matter with you? Or you just stand there as if it was happening in another dimension?Recently my relative was robbed on the bus in daytime. They took her bag, wallet, documents, jewelry, everything. People were on the bus, and NOBODY helped her!......How sad!Even if you see what's going on in the world, somewhere, on this Earth, right now, you are afraid of 'feeling something', are numbed, and everything is happening to 'others' not to you, it's nothing to do with you. ....How ignorant!
Ignorance and Neglect are sin too. We are there and see things, is not coincidence at all. Even you see on the TV is not coincidence. You needed to know it. You can do something over that. That is why you witness it.
